"You can’t build a reputation on what you’re going to do." - Henry Ford
Get involved!
"It’s difficult to get plugged in."
"It’s designed for more senior professionals."
These are comments that we heard from our focus groups of students just like yourself on why they found it difficult to get involved in their professional society. The truth is that your voice is needed. In order to meet the needs of our members into the future we need to hear from you.

The Collegiate Council is our answer. With the inaugural meeting in 2003 the council has been an integral part of ASME IPTI’s planning for the future. This meeting of students from North America and Mexico representing 12 universities produced a list of needs that students want from IPTI. They then decided on a project and undertook it with great enthusiasm. The results of this collegiate council will be a legacy left for future student members."The Collegiate Council was a way for me to learn more about the petroleum industry and what it has to offer. And also the council members were great and allowed me to have many contacts throughout multiple industries!" Tiffany Stein, Collegiate Council Member, 2003-2004, University of Texas at Tyler.
