31st International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OMAE)

To the members and supporters of the Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering Division of ASME and the OMAE conference:

The OMAE Conference will move 3 weeks later and now be held July 1-6, 2012 at the same venue, the Windsor Barra in Rio.

Due to the recent re-scheduling of a United Nations Sustainability Conference (55,000+ attendees) in Rio de Janeiro in close proximity to the original date of the OMAE 2012 conference, the OOAE Executive Committee announced a change in the date of their flagship conference.

The Committee regrets the necessity of this move, but due to the strain on the Rio transportation system and acts of the Brazilian government with respect to accommodations, there was no option but to delay the conference.

More information and continuous updates are available on the OMAE 2012 conference website, www.omae2012.com

Thanks for your support of the OMAE conference!  We welcome you to Rio and hope you will enjoy this beautiful city in its normal daily life.

OMAE 2012 is the ideal forum for researchers, engineers, managers, technicians and students from the scientific and industrial communities from around the world to meet and present advances in technology and its scientific support; to exchange ideas and experiences whilst promoting technological progress and its application in industry; and to promote international cooperation in ocean, offshore and arctic engineering. Following on the tradition of excellence of previous OMAE conferences, more than 800 technical papers are planned for presentation.

PLEASE VISIT THE CONFERENCE WEBSITE FOR DETAILS.
