Subsea Equipment Short Course at OMAE 2012

Course Overview:
Offshore production depends on subsea equipment and structures that must ensure the transfer of fluids between production units at sea level and wellheads at sea bottom. The understanding of such facilities is the base of the subsea engineer formation.

Course Topics:
• Subsea field development
• Marine production Units
• Subsea Distribution Systems
• Subsea control
• Subsea Power Supply
• Subsea Manifolds
• Subsea Connections and Jumpers
• Subsea Wellheads and Trees
Course Objectives:
 At the end of this course you should be able to:
• Identify the types of equipments employed to subsea oil and gas production;
• Understand the basic operation and the main components of subsea equipments;
• Have the capability to select the design parameters of a subsea production system;
• Be aware of the new frontiers in terms of subsea equipments.
